2 out of 3 Complaints = No Response

Digging around a little bit, we were able to pull some statistics on some 130 complaints filed with the BBB of Houston. What we read is appalling, but not entirely shocking considering all of the negative reviews we've come across in regards to the lack of ethics at ScienceLab.com.

You're reading that correctly. Out of 130 complaints that were closed (as there appeared to be no legal recourse for those filing the complaint), over 2/3rds of the complaints simply received no response... the majority being in regards to refunds that were never given for product that was never delivered, or subbed out for a lower quality product.
This is misleading, and fraudulent.

We found an article published under the Consumer Watch section of the Houston Chronicle titled "Humble firm defends itself against complaints" with an interesting quote from Stacey Tyler, VP of Operations at ScienceLab.com.

"Sciencelab.com, Inc. is however, diligent in eventually bringing resolution to EVERY customer."

Clearly, this is an outright lie. I encourge you all to contact the Office of the Attorney General of Texas and file a report with them. With enough complaints, maybe we can get legal action taken and shut down this thieving business.

ScienceLab.com, you are liars!

ScienceLab.com: Cheating Consumers Since 2006

We found this brief story from January of 2009 posted on RipoffReport.com, stating that ScienceLab.com has been cheating consumers out of their hard earned money as far back as 2006.

Cranne from Columbus, OH says:
"I own a small specialty store. I place an order with Scienclab.com in 2006. I have yet to receive my order or get my money back. If they felt I was going to irresponsible I should have gotten my money back immediately. They are liars and thieves. I have called, written and gone to the Texas BBB and have never gotten my money or response."

It's short. It's to the point. And this kind of cheating is considered acceptable business practice by those operating ScienceLab.com.

If you're here, chances are that this story is all too familiar. A great deal of the writings out there cite dozens of dates of communication, names, misleading promises of refunds or delivery of a backorder... all ultimately ending with the stark reality that this company is able to continue operating as a faceless thief, untouchable by the authorities.

We are here ot put a stop to this.

Let's put an end to padding the pockets of the wealthy, no longer allowing them to openly steal from us consumers. We would like to hear your stories and comments: sciencelabdotcom@gmail.com.

Where to File Reports

We were victimized by ScienceLab.com. They took our money, sent us an invoice, but gave us nothing in return. Follow-up and attempts to reconcile have been useless. Have a similar story yourself? We'd like to hear from you: sciencelabdotcom@gmail.com.

BBB.org - Better Business Bureau in Greater Houston and South Texas
The BBB is always the first place we check prior to conducting business with a new vendor. The ratings for each business is given on an A+ to F scale, and it's no surprise to find that ScienceLab.com is listed as a solid F. Read their page here! Later on, we'll blog about some of the stats we've found on the BBB site. In the meantime...

ScienceLab.com - Chemicals & Lab Suppliers, or Thiefs?

If you're reading this, you've probably found yourself victimized by fraud.

You might've had an initially painless experience placing an online order for some classroom supplies, or maybe a small handful of science related items for use in your lab. Maybe you've called and talked to a pleasant sales person over the phone, or found that they had some difficult to find product that nobody else seems to be able to get ahold of.

We're sure they took your money, and gave you an invoice. They probably told you it'd be just a couple days for the product to arrive. What, there was a backorder? No problem, as it will likely show up on next week's delivery from the manufacturer. Just a few extra days shouldn't be a problem.

But did your order ever arrive? Did they possibly swap out the items described and invoiced for a lower quality product? Did they refuse to issue a refund? Were you strung along for so long that you can no longer file a dispute with your credit card company?

You've been stolen from by http://www.sciencelab.com/.

If you have stories you wish to contribute, please contact the authors of this blog at sciencelabdotcom@gmail.com. We wish to put your stories right here, out in the open for everyone to read.

While we're sure none of us are wanting to take sciencelab.com to court for our relatively minor losses, we're sure we all want to incite at least a little vengeance.

Go on, you're justified and deserving of it.

Good luck out there, and safe shopping!
